The 73rd Alabama Youth Legislature Conference is underway and everybody is doing an amazing job to make the most of the conference. The debate has been wonderful. Everybody has been very passionate but also respectful. Anna Dickey proposed a great bill in the House pushing for mental health to be taught in Alabama public schools. She proposed it be a unit in physical education and be taught by the PE coach. It wouldn’t require a large amount of funding to see this through and would make a world of difference in the lives and well being of our youth. This bill passed and is the kind of vision we love to see coming from the delegates of this conference.
