The Alabama Youth In Government media program has existed in some form since the second year of the Alabama Youth Legislature. A Press Award has been given annually at Youth Legislature since 1950. The modern day media program includes youth reporters, editors, graphic designers, photographers and videographers. The media team at Mock Trial and Youth Legislature record the events of those conferences for the delegates and the general public.
