Between Saturday, June 28, and Friday, July 4, 27 Alabama young people (26 delegates and one media delegate) will take part in the 57th Annual YMCA Youth Conference on National Affairs. Because of the damage done in 2024 to the Blue Ridge Assembly by Hurricane Helene, this year’s conference will be held at Appalachian State University in Boone, N.C.
If those chosen to attend as delegates are unable to go, the alternates will be given the chance to be a part of the Family of Alabama for 2025. Both delegates and alternates must let the Montgomery Britton YMCA know by 5 p.m. Friday, March 14, if you would like to and are able to attend. There will be a National Affairs Charge event at YMCA Camp Chandler near Wetumpka on Friday evening and Saturday morning, May 2 and 3.
