Top participants and teams named for 2014 Youth Judicial

During the Nov. 3 awards ceremony, outstanding individuals and teams were announced for the 2014 YMCA Youth Judicial Program. The top three teams for both the premier and major leagues are eligible to compete in the national competition in Chicago in the summer of 2015. Congratulations to the students and schools represented among the winners.

PREMIER LEAGUE (Students in their first year of competition)

Most Outstanding Attorney: Sydney Brashears, Saint James School Defense Team 583, Montgomery

Most Outstanding Witness: Whitman Kent, Saint James School Defense Team 583, Montgomery

First Place Premier Plaintiff Team – Spain Park High School Team 231:  Jessica Shaw, Laina Henry, Kate Winchester, Ashley Tessman, Anna Douglass and Courtney Annakin (Hoover)

First Place Premier Defense Team, Saint James School Team 583: Captain Sydney Brashears, Stephen Sadie, Annie Skoneki, Denson Clark, Claudia Hubbard, Maddy Grace Hunter, Whitman Kent and Katie McIntyre (Montgomery)
