The lobbyist and the media programs recognized their outstanding participants during closing ceremonies Sunday, Feb. 26, 2017.
The 2017 Outstanding Lobbyist was Layla Araiinejad of LAMP in Montgomery.
Honorable mentions went to Janie McGraw of Spain Park High School in Hoover and Hope Hill of Elmore County High School.
The 2017 Press Award winner was Trinity Hunter with Montgomery’s Saint James School delegation. The press award goes to a media staff member who has shown a great deal of promise as a writer.
2017 Media Director Meagan Holloway-Ragland (LAMP/Montgomery) announced that Kayleigh Hand with the Cherokee County High School delegation was elected to serve as the 2018 media director.
